Participants will learn how to:
Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
Assess an emergency situation safely and effectively
Perform Primary Survey (DRSABC approach)
Administer CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
Use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
Place a casualty in the recovery position
Managing Injuries:
Control bleeding (minor and severe)
Treat burns and scalds
Manage fractures, sprains, and strains
Handle head injuries
Medical Emergencies:
Recognise and respond to choking
Deal with heart attacks
Identify signs of stroke
Manage seizures
Respond to asthma attacks
Treat allergic reactions (including anaphylaxis)

Infection control and hygiene
Contents and use of a first aid kit
Recording and reporting incidents
