Our CPR and AED Training course equips participants with the vital skills needed to respond quickly and effectively to cardiac emergencies.

This practical, hands-on course focuses on delivering high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), giving learners the confidence to act decisively in life-threatening situations.

Ideal for workplaces, community groups, and individuals, this training ensures participants are prepared to provide immediate care and potentially save a life before emergency services arrive.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Understand the importance of early CPR and defibrillation

  • Recognise cardiac arrest and unresponsiveness

  • Assess an emergency situation safely (DRSABCD approach)

  • Call for help and communicate effectively with emergency services

CPR Skills:

  • Perform adult CPR (chest compressions and rescue breaths)

  • Understand compression depth, rate, and technique

  • Modify CPR for children and infants (overview or practical depending on course level)

  • AED (Defibrillator) Use:

  • What an AED is and how it works

  • When and why to use an AED

  • Step-by-step safe operation of an AED

  • Following voice prompts and safety considerations

Managing the Casualty:

  • Recovery position (if breathing returns)

  • Monitoring vital signs

  • Managing the scene safely

Additional Topics:

  • Infection control and hygiene during CPR

  • Dealing with bystander situations

  • Legal considerations and duty of care

Practical Training:

  • Hands-on CPR practice using manikins

  • AED training with demonstration devices

  • Realistic scenario-based simulations

  • Confidence-building drills
